Take your art outdoors and make something wonderful from the simplest materials there are: sand and water!

Location: Budgewoi Beach, we'll meet at the Surf Life Saving Club on Lake Street
Create it. Photograph it. Let the tide take it.
Join us on the beach for a morning of hands-on sculpture, where you'll learn to build, shape, carve and texture wet sand into a piece of your own. We'll show you how a plain mound of sand turns into a proper three-dimensional artwork.
You might make a sea turtle, a shell, an animal or a face, or just follow where the sand takes you. Forget sandcastles, we're making sculpture.
We'll work with whatever the beach gives us that morning and make something beautiful that was never meant to last.
You don't need any experience
Bring a hat, sunscreen, a bottle of water and a towel, and come ready to get your hands sandy
