Week 5
Animals In Action
Get ready to make your animals leap off the page! This week is all about capturing movement with quick gesture drawing sketches.
We'll practice drawing all kinds of animals running, jumping, and flying before creating our very own cartoon-style “action pet” that's full of life and energy.
Week 6
Surrealism For Kids - The Weird & Wonderful
Let's get weird and wonderful as we dive into the world of surrealism! We'll explore amazing ideas like drawing giant objects in tiny spaces or making things float in mid-air.
You'll get to draw your very own dream world where anything is possible—like elephants that fly or fish that ride bicycles!
Week 7
Portraits With Style
It's time to draw faces with personality! After a quick review of face proportions, we'll experiment with a bunch of awesome drawing styles like cartoons, manga, and funny caricatures. To finish, you'll create a hilarious self-portrait in your favorite new style.
Week 8
Nature Drawing - Trees, Leaves & Insects
Let's explore the amazing details of the great outdoors! This week, we'll learn how to draw the cool textures of tree bark and leaves, and the incredible patterns on insects. You can choose to create a super-detailed “bug close-up” or sketch your very own magical forest.
Week 9
Drawing Illusions & 3D Tricks
Ready to trick your eyes? This week is all about learning to draw awesome optical illusions, like 3D cubes and impossible triangles!
The main activity will be an amazing trick where you'll create a drawing of your own hand that looks like it's really popping off the page using just lines and shading.
