Meet your coach

Beverley

Welcome to Art on Main, where creativity flows and community thrives!
As an Art Therapist and seasoned Artist with a lifelong passion for creativity, I am thrilled to welcome you to my workshop. With over two decades of calling the Central Coast home, I've been inspired by its seaside charm and the vibrant community of Toukley. Originally hailing from Wales in the UK, I've brought my love for art and therapy to this beautiful corner of the world.
With the support of my wonderful, ever-growing family, I've embarked on an exciting journey as the new owner of Art on Main. It's a joy to be part of such a welcoming community, and I'm eager to collaborate with each and every one of you. Let's explore the transformative power of art together and create something truly magical.

Art on main: After School Classes

Classes often cover a wide range of artistic disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, and more.

Here are some key aspects and benefits of after-school art classes:

Creative Expression

Art classes provide a supportive environment where students can freely express themselves through their artwork. They can experiment with different techniques, mediums, and styles, allowing them to discover their unique artistic voice.

Skill Development

Through hands-on practice and guided instruction, students can improve their artistic skills and techniques. Whether it's learning how to shade and blend colors in a painting or mastering the intricacies of sculpting with clay, art classes help students develop proficiency in various art forms

Critical Thinking

Art often involves making creative decisions and solving visual problems. In art classes, students learn to think critically, analyze their work, and troubleshoot challenges they encounter during the creative process. These problem-solving skills are transferable to other areas of their lives.

Confidence
Building

As students gain mastery over artistic techniques and see their skills improve over time, their confidence grows. Art classes provide opportunities for students to showcase their work, receive feedback, and feel a sense of accomplishment, which boosts their self-esteem and self-confidence.

Stress Relief
and Relaxation

Engaging in art can be therapeutic, providing students with a way to unwind, de-stress, and relax after a long day at school. Art classes offer a break from academic pressures and allow students to focus on creative expression, which can have positive effects on their mental and emotional well-being.

Cultural and Historical Appreciation

Art classes often include lessons on art history, introducing students to various artistic movements, styles, and influential artists from different cultures and time periods. This exposure helps students develop an appreciation for the rich diversity of artistic traditions and fosters cultural awareness.

Social Interaction and Collaboration

Art classes offer opportunities for students to collaborate with their peers, share ideas, and work together on group projects. Through collaborative art activities, students learn important social skills such as communication, teamwork, and cooperation.

Art on main studio

Whether students aspire to pursue a career in the arts or simply enjoy creating for pleasure, these classes provide a supportive and inspiring environment for artistic exploration and growth.
